OSLO LENS AND GLASS CATALOGS
As a courtesy to the vendors and a convenience for our users, Sinclair
Optics provides data files that describe a number of commercially available lenses
and refracting materials. This data has been translated to a format that is acceptable
to OSLO, but has not been evaluated or checked by Sinclair Optics. Please note
that all OSLO programs are shipped with copies of these data files that are current
at the time of the release date for the program revision. Check the file dates
on your existing files and only replace them if they are not current. Please also
note that the OSLO directories where the these files are installed contain additional
files. When you are updating your program, do not create new directories containing
these files, but instead replace the files in the existing directories, to preserve
the other files.
OSLO_lens_cat.zip includes catalog lens
specifications from the following vendors:
- Combined database (> 3000 lenses)
- Edmund Scientific
- JML Optics
- Melles Griot
- Newport/Klinger
- OptoSigma
- Oriel
- Linos (Spindler & Hoyer)
Installation instructions:
- Download OSLO_lens_cat.zip.
- Unzip the files in the archive to the bin/lmo folder (not the private/bin/lmo
folder).
OSLO_glass_cat.zip includes the glass
specifications from the following vendors:
- Schott
- Ohara
- Hoya
- Corning
- Sumita
- Hikari
In addition, OSLO_glass_cat.zip contains the special glass catalog "Obsolete".
The "Obsolete" catalog contains data for glasses that may or may not
be currently available, but have been sold in the past and may be specified
in old prescriptions.
Installation instructions:
- Download OSLO_glass_cat.zip.
- Unzip the files in the archive to the bin/glc folder (not the private/bin/glc
folder).
